Our Story
Founded in 2024, Lottie Pilates was built on the belief that movement should be intentional, individualized, and rooted in tradition.
Grounded in the original teaching of Joseph Pilates and informed by a rehabilitation based approach, Lottie bridges the gap between physical therapy and lifelong movement.
Our practice honors the integrity of the classical method while recognizing that every body has its own history, strengths, and needs. Through thoughtful instruction and personalized programming, we create an experience that prioritizes strength, mobility, alignment, and lasting wellbeing.
At Lottie, Pilates is more than a workout. It is a practice to carry with you throughout life.
Our founder
Alexis Cooke is the founder of Lottie Pilates and a fourth generation Pilates instructor in the teaching lineage of Joseph Pilates.
With a background in physical rehabilitation and years of experience working alongside physical therapists, Alexis developed a passion for the relationship between movement, recovery, and long term wellness.
Her approach combines the precision and principles of the original Pilates method with a thoughtful understanding of the individual. Whether working with clients recovering from injury, building strength, or seeking a deeper connection to movement, Alexis believes that Pilates should meet each person exactly where they are.
Through Lottie, she hopes to preserve the authenticity of classical Pilates while creating a welcoming space where clients feel supported, challenged, and inspired to move for a lifetime.
